Evolution and The Need For Vitamin C
by Michael Mooney

In 1970, Dr. Linus Pauling, a scientist called a "true genius" by Albert Einstein, published an analysis of what might be the human need for the antioxidant vitamin ascorbic acid, also known as vitamin C, based on calculations for what amounts humans evolved getting from a foraging diet. Genes change about every 40,000 years, so modern day humans are basically genetically the same as humans 10,000 years ago, when we foraged for our foods.. Dr. Pauling was a winner of the Nobel Prize for chemistry for his discovery that ***** and for his contribution to stopping the proliferation of nuclear bombs.
